In the lite version of SCD 2011, under the "bonus" section are entries for both Desert Dazzle and Final Fever. However, selecting them simply crashes the game as the necessary data in its RSDK are missing. The presence of these entries is probably some leftover from development.
Little did people know Sonic Advance (Android) is not exclusive to Japan, it somehow got a Chinese version and was published by egame, according to the added splash screen. BMIT (which also localized some SEGA cellphone games for China) also takes part in the localization.
Initially, only Sonic the Hedgehog is availble in the character select and only Neo Green Hill Zone Act 1 in Time Attack is playable (the story mode is locked by default). After finishing the level, a dialog prompts you to purchase the full game for ¥12 (about $1.5), which was not present in the original Japanese version. No other microtransactions are present.
A quick search of "索尼克进化手机版" (Sonic Advance Mobile Phone Edition) on Chinese search engines like Sogou might give you more information on it. I'm planning to upload it to the Internet Archive in the future.
This picture wasn't photoshopped. In the Sonic Pocket Adventure ROM hack Sonic Pocket Winter, the player can choose Knuckles in regular gameplay besides Sonic and Tails. Neo South Island Zone is the only zone playable in normal means in the hack, but using debug you can play through the rest of the game...and get to the legendary fight between Knuckles & Knuckles.
